Anyone who complained about the first round pick can just simply tell us what player picked at 32 in the last few decades would be better than Schenn even in his older declined state.
You could maybe argue Pinto, but even he is 0.5 ppg.

I’m still not a fan of the trade overall but Schenn as a stop gap for a young roster is very nice especially with Palms and Lee reaching their end for top 6 granted Palms was amazing till he got hurt. Got off of Drouin too. Really don’t dislike the trade just think it was an overpay for the asset

Just to put it into perspective of what we gave up vs what we gained in the trade. In about 10 games, shenn has matched the total goals Drouin had in 55 games for us. Drouin only has 4 total goals this season, and since going to the Blues has been a healthy scratch most games

Why is it all or nothing with you guys? I like Schenn as a player but it was still a poor trade and poor asset management, especially for the position our team is in.

As a Blues fan trust me if you get in to the playoffs you will love him. He is the exact type of player who you need in the playoffs. Gritty and an absolute grinder.
