Holtz’s NHLe was very good. So was Ty Smith’s. The Devils already had guys like Marco Rossi in Jack and Bratt. They wanted to pair an elite shooter with Hughes and it don’t work because Holtz couldn’t skate. They turned Shakir into Timo. They already have a couple guys like Zeev in Luke and Nemec. I’m all for revisionist history but aside from Stillman (who was a terrible pick) and Casey over Hutson, this is a bit unfair.
