Mec semble être un gars génial à avoir pour une course aux séries éliminatoires, honnêtement, je ne sais pas pourquoi les canards ne l’ont pas gardé, même si ce n’est que pour la profondeur.

Conny has cooked so hard this year!
Maatta has been killing it as well as he has 2 goals and 10 pts in 12 games played with Calgary while in Utah, only hat 1 point (an assist) in 22 games played and was a healthy scratch for a good chunk of the season
Nice
If he continues performing like this, next trade deadline he might be worth the equivalent of about a first round pick.
Damn you fine, baby can you sock it to me one mo’ time
I was really worried that with Weegs out the door we lost our future captain and have nobody to fill that spot, but I’m really happy with the leadership Strome has already shown and I wouldn’t mind extending him just to help set a good culture in the locker room.
Feels like we’re getting performances out of our newly acquired players that are similar to the first year Golden Knights. Just guys that had almost been given up on by their team coming to the new team with a massive chip on their shoulder and crushing it
Go Stromer! :DD
Super long explanation but actually the Ducks DID want to keep Strome as playoffs depth & a locker room guy. It’s actually due to Strome’s relationship with Pat Verbeek that he was traded – Strome has interacted with Verbeek a lot outside the rink as he wants to be a GM himself when he retires. For example, once when Strome was injured he asked to accompany Verbeek as a temporary scout to help write scouting reports.
Verbeek has great appreciation for Strome as a leader & apparently the 2 had an honest conversation about his future before he was traded. Verbeek said he’d like to keep Strome around, but understands he might not be happy to be scratched every day & is willing to try to find a team for him. That also explains why the Ducks were willing to take such an insanely low return of a 7th-rounder for Strome (yes they also got to dump his 5mil cap but still) – it was almost a favor to him.
Also wanted to share Strome’s intermission comments on Parekh’s critical penalty to lose the game in OT vs Anaheim! Scott Oake asked him what he was saying to Parekh after the loss as he noticed Strome talking to him.
> »I think it’s a fine line for young players between getting on them, but also giving them confidence. For me, I see a guy who’s trying to jump in the play & trying to score a goal. So I think as a young player you never want to take that away from them… his eyes see a 3-on-2 & he wants to get up there. You know, obviously it’s a fine line, you want to win games, but I think as a young player you want to encourage him as much as you can, & give him that confidence & swagger – nice to see him rip top cheese now. »

Really annoyed by this fuckin guy, I wanted bottom 3 and he’s singlehandedly pulling us out of the basement and back to mediocrity.
The ducks are a fast team and he doesn’t have the best boots on him. I think our style is a little better suited to his game because he does have a great iq and some nifty hands
