The 'Canes putting on a clinic but nothing to show for it? They had 10 shots and a goal before Montreal even showed up. Fortunately for the Habs, Doby (despite looking a bit shaky on the first few shots), slammed the door shut, hard, for the rest of the game. Anderson with some amazing saves himself. Suzuki having a killer night and Caufield with mumber 46!

I really love to see with how much confidence Dobes is playing now. Earlier in the season you could see he was sometimes doing too much, trying to prove something because they were changing goalies almost every game. He's still aggressive, explosive and fun to watch, but now you can see that he's radiating this cool and calm aura. Absolute perfection.

Just goes to show you what stellar goaltending can do for you. If the Habs continue to get performances like this one they are going to be a very dangerous playoff team. I realize MSL was trying to give Sam Montemblow every chance to keep his job, but some of his poor starts earlier in the season might have cost the team a division title.
