1. If it were Kotkaniemi this MFer would be calling him a “bone head” and blaming him for the loss.

  2. Wait. You can score a ton of goals and be physical. Can someone tell Rod it’s not either, or. Never mind, we do neither. BTW If you get NOTHING from a dominant period, was it dominant? Dismissing criticism of the team cause you think we over rest. 4:23 you words. They didn’t. Same story every year. How the game is played is irrelevant. The team with the most goals wins

  3. The Canes are crap, they are barley over .500 since the break. This team is the 4th best team in the East at best. Tampa, Buffalo & Montreal are better. Tulskey screwed everyone over by not making a trade to help this team. Goaltending is crap, defense is crap, PK is weak & scoring is not consistent. Another wasted year

  4. Canes got out goalied, gave up three goals to the hottest line in the NHL and the Habs blocked a huge number of shots.

  5. No lies detected in that that goal to make it 2-1 Habs killed our mojo. But the 3rd looked like we didn't wan to score. We kept overshooting the goal and just skating around with no presence to work for a good/better offensive shot.

  6. I'm playing a new game every time the Canes lose with Freddy in net. It's called "How long before Adam Gold makes excuses for Freddy". This post game didn't take very long at all. It's gotten to the point of being hilarious, and there are a few things that you keep saying/insinuating that are just wrong:

1.) If Freddy doesn't let any bad goals in, there's nothing really to criticize: This is simply not where NHL goaltending is. Solid goaltenders have to stop good opportunities sometimes. Great goaltenders stop many per game. Freddy isn't stopping much of any in far too many games this season. He's also letting a bunch of goals in quick succession. This season, the "good" save hasn't been there nearly enough, and the "timely" save hasn't been there either.
2.) Freddy hasn't been the reason the Canes have lost in the playoffs: The Hurricanes scored 3 goals a game against the Rangers two years ago. Freddy had an .878 in that series, which is goaltending that won't win you anything. I say this knowing Freddy stole games against the Islanders the series before. He turned into a pumpkin in the Rangers series.

This was just a regular season game, but the Hurricanes have fallen out of the playoffs for differing reasons not limited to but including: 1.) Their goaltending hasn't been good enough 2.) Their goal scorers don't finish their opportunities. We saw both of those on display tonight. I can't figure out why you have so much more trouble acknowledging one over the other.

  7. Im a Habs fan , yes, Canes put alot pucks on net , Marty says its quality over quantity , Habs dont need alot of scoring chances to hurt you .
Canes are a great regular season team , but it ends there .
Canes are a Defensive team , Habs are a young fast smart skilled offensive team , canes arent not that .
and your coach should stop with the theatrics , 7 years , advanced to the second twice in those 7 years , you think its time for a coaching change , I mean its hard enough to look at him behind the bench with his wild big eyes , and misshapin nose , the players must be sick and tired of him . Canes are a med team at this point . They only shoot more than most teams .
Good luck in the plsyoffs 😊

  8. It’s not just this game. It’s the fact that you can’t seem to beat this team you may run into in the playoffs. No one cares about a one off game. But being swept in a season series is why people are upset

  9. The Habs have incredibly opportunistic quick strike offence. They usually get out shot in games, but their elite skill level helps them bury their chances. Carolina is more a of a puck possession team that shoots early and often, but if you can't convert, it is not a good sign for the playoffs.

  10. I'm a little concerned Bussi playing rough right before playoffs and I have a feeling we are going to go Freddy in net again all playoffs because he has that experience and Bussi has never played one. But at least we have Deslauriers.
