Should be Reilly but McCabes probably the best fighter on the team

  2. If this is just him fighting Pezzetta or Joshua and turtling after 3 seconds it isn’t enough. The group needs to punish him and some of Anaheims younger stars the whole night.

Domi in the first, McCabe in the second, and Cowan in the third lol

  4. GumpTheChump

Leave him alone and run their goalie and their stars. Let him kick rocks.

If Pezzetta is in the lineup I think he’ll be the one. He knows who he is and what he does and I suspect they’ll have a somewhat staged fight off the opening faceoff. Would love to be proven wrong and have someone challenge him in the flow of the game but I suspect it’ll be more controlled than that.

Hot take, doing it now doesn’t matter. Not after the reaction immediately after was to do nothing. Even if the ref whisked him away early. Not even chirping or looking mildy upset was the big issue. If we do anything tonight it just seems dumb.

He doesnt need to fight, he needs to feel every square inch of the ice and boards. Every check has to be committed too. If someone thinks fighting him is it, then they aren’t learning any lessons.

Our toughest and most unhinged player is probably Stolarz, as sad as that is. Hopefully Gudas finds himself near the crease at some point.

So he wants to make sure someone goes after him and not one of their stars a couple weeks from the playoffs. The leafs dont have it in their DNA to do it, but how about both? I barely expect them to go after Gudas besides maybe a staged fight at the start with Pezzetta or Joshua.

I honestly think Rielly might do something after his comments on his inaction.

Do you think anyone would notice if Tie dressed instead of Max Domi? 🤔

  12. Apprehensive-Rub-11

Let’s be real. He’ll drop the gloves with like McCabe for a boring fight and that will be the end of this. Leafs don’t have gritty players to make a statement. I bet the leafs are more scared about tonight than this guy.

  13. lil-quiche

His comment is the biggest “what are they gonna do anyways” statement imo

  14. Leafs drawing straws on who’s going to have the chat with him?

  15. hoping knies goes after him at the start but realistically it’ll probably be cowan or Domi

  16. It doesn’t matter who goes after him. We’ll get a little wrestling match, 5 aside for fighting, and proceed to the Leafs losing by 3 goals while being outshot by 15+ shots.

  17. carnotbicycle

It needs to be Rielly because he wears an A, is the longest tenured Leaf, was on the ice when it happened, and said he regretted not going after Gudas in the moment. If Rielly let’s Cowan or Domi or OEL do it then he should be embarrassed.

If not Rielly then ideally Nylander would do it to show he’s a changed player but he’s never fought a guy before. At least Matthews has a career fight and has shown snarl (the Dahlin crosscheck). Willy just isn’t that guy.

I hate the fact I can’t think of one regular roster player who would/should

  19. shanster925

Rielly. It’ll be a wrestling match, and nothing else.

  20. SaintInTheCity2293

Domi. Then they’ll score on the ensuing PP and we’ll lose 4-1. #Tank

  21. toedragrelease

Realistically the only guy that will is Pezzetta

  22. Icy-Reception-7605

    Cutter, Leo or Beckett.

Send the Jims in. These kids should have a tough night.
