Nice to see the SDPN guys give the Habs their flowers. Hell, their Go To The Net game today was Habs-themed.

  2. Pff, best rookie for points, assists, victories but…

Who’s the #1 rookie for goals though?

    Oh…

I actually watched the entire podcast.

Near the very end Jesse wanted to talk about the Montreal/Columbus game and the other 2 wanted none of it. It was hysterical to see their reactions to Jesse just rattling off one stat after another.

He essentially forced them to acknowledge how good the Habs are and how much better they’ll be going forward. I could almost hear Steve grinding his teeth.

Title of the podcast is Dobes Spring.

The episode they did about Hutson’s contract was just hilarious. Steve being so mad… About how great of a deal it’s going to be over time. They’re Leafs fans but they know hockey.

As much as I want to see a hab win the Calder this year, I’m sorry but Schaefer is gonna win this

There’s no question that Schaefer if he stays healthy is a franchise player and the Isles got a bona fide star, but I’m not sure why it’s such a lock that he wins the Calder if he’s not leading in points. Him playing more than Demidov actually proves my point that with far fewer minutes per game, Demidov is racking the numbers and keeping pace if not dominating the chart.

Is it because of Schaefer’s age? Let’s not put the cart in front of the horse here and reward him for the player we think he’s going to be instead of what’s in front of us right now.

There are no calder candidates. Schaefer won the award months ago
