I get that sponsorships make all these things possible and all that, but for fuck’s sake, everything is just soulless now.
Advertisements all over the boards, the ice, on some jerseys. I wonder who the first NHL goalie to sell ad space on his helmet will be. Maybe they can have the refs do in-game plugs on the penalty speaker too.
It’s crazy that in all the same season they brought back the fan favorite identity(for a couple games), celebrated a major anniversary, then ended it by saying “we’re moving to Canada.”
The Players will probably love not having to live in Bridgeport.
