    Barkey-Zegras-Tippett

    Konecny-Dvorak-Martone

    Grundstrom-Cates-Michkov

    Couturier-Glendening-Hathaway

  2. ProfessorDerp22

Feel the Grund over Bump? Dunno about that one, Chief.

  3. helpslipnofranklins

So TK can play his off wing to accommodate Martone, but can’t for even 1 game to play with Michkov

  4. RadioactiveSumo

Grund for hath would have been my choice if you really wanted/needed Grundy in. But what can we expect from Tocc. Like I get sitting the kid if he’s had a couple of bad games, give him a chance to rest and reset but bump hasn’t. He’s been noticeable

  5. Mesothelioma1021

No reason to take Bump out of the lineup, typical dinosaur behavior from Tocchet.

  6. LankSportsBlog

Don’t like benching Bump and keeping Grundstrom in

  7. TA_AlrightOK

I know Martone’s a bigger dude, but maybe Grunstrom’s in over Bump bc of the Tom Wilson factor?

Or, maybe it’s just bc Tocc’s gonna Tocc. As long as they get a W, I guess it’s not the end of the world for tonight.

    edit: a word

  8. Jackie also wrote that Martone is on PP1 and Michkov on PP2.

I said this as soon as Zegras was traded for, but Michkov plays the exact same position as Zegras on the power play. Splitting them up makes sense. Michkov is way less effective on the left wall.

  9. BigDomsLeftovers

The 4th line has been putting in some really solid shifts. They grind and keep the puck in the offensive zone. I like it.

I’m going tonight…couldn’t be more excited!

  10. Living-Dimension7798

Hathaway over Bump? What in the ever living fuck are we doing?

  11. Stinks to see Bump come out… but he and Martone are similar enough that it makes sense for a swap at the moment I guess.

  12. PwillyAlldilly

Grundy third line??? I’m mean okay? I’d have preferred Bump.

  13. SarGhoul24

This sub overreacted when Grebenkin was sat (came out that he was injured) and it’s no surprise it’s happening with Bump.

He’s played 12 games and his TOI is trending down in those games. It’s not outlandish to think he needs a break or some rest seeing as he’s just getting used to the speed of the NHL. Tocc is in the room and we aren’t guys.

  14. I like it. Move tk to the left to make space for martone. They’ve got martone on the lw on the pp in practice for the one timer. Makes sense to me to leave grundstrom in. Good forechecker, makes time and space for cates and michkov. I really like that top line too. And keeping the effective 4th together.

  15. QuietCompany6858

As long as Andrea is in over the Juules, we got a chance.

  16. Grundstrom is the placeholder for whoever slots in, so Tys will be in his spot, Mich probably moving back to LW tho :/

  17. GrittyTheGreat

Scratching Bump over Hathaway is the most Tocchet shit ever. God forbid we INCREASE the amount of players with puck skills. Instead we are on a strict limit.

  18. I feel like the thought process is that the young guys are more of a liability on the defensive side when they are new. So in practice when you’re battling for a playoff spot I guess I understand the move as long as it’s one off till you see what Martone looks like. These points matter a lot so the structure needs to be there. Not that there has been any apparent issues with Bump but I can understand it in theory, but if Martone looks solid Bump should be back next game. I also think it could be overthinking a bit. But idk 🤷‍♂️

  19. Cute-Contract-6762

Why would they keep Grundstrom with Michkov? Shit at least put bump with him. At least that would take advantage of his skillset

  20. saycheese95

An extremely exciting and important game yet Tocchet manages to make us all upset by sitting another young forward lol

  21. Flyers2013312

Hathaway might be playing because of Wilson to match his physical play and maybe fight it needed. Even though Hathaway hasn’t put points up he’s looked way better and glendening taking the center load off coots has helped coots game too.

  22. Hurricane_28

Bump has been one of the better forwards but we gotta keep rolling out washed Hathaway.

  23. ArcanumAntares

With nine games remaining, the Flyers suddenly appear to be in a position where « good » and « better » roster options are now available whereas this wasn’t the case earlier in the season.  Martone in the lineup, Foerster almost back in the lineup, and really only Grebenkin and Abols injured.

This isn’t necessarily a bad problem to have; we can only wait and see gow Tocchet manages the situation.

Regarding tonight’s game specifically, the presence of Tom Wilson necessitates certain players drawing into the Flyers’ lineup.  One of Hathaway/Wilson need to play, and the Couturier/Glendening/Hathaway line has been cooking, and it probably doesn’t make sense to change that line.

It’s going to be an interesting game tonight.  I can feel the energy building up.  LGF

  24. SirSnorlax22

Bump should be happy with his play thus far. Keep putting in work n he’ll be back in the mix sooner or later

  25. OLPopsAdelphia

Now we just need a Big Nicky or a Simmer to push around bodies and scare the hell out of players, and then we’ll be pretty formidable.

  26. WooderFountain

Yet again, on a day when we should all be completely positive about this team, half the comments in this thread are by nonstop-negative whining bitches complaining about the lineup. You negative whiners fucking blow.

  27. CaffeineAndGrain

TK/Dvo/Porter line will, and I repeat, WILL feed families
