    You can tell by the way he attacks the puck, the way he’s handling it outside of his crease. This is giving us a much needed edge.

    Man if Doby played like that all season he would have the Vezina, actually elite. Hopefully he keeps this pace in the playoffs

    Man I’ve been saying it…that start he had at the beginning of the season wasnt a fluke. Confidence, inconsistent play, & teams exposing some weaknesses (low glove and lateral movement) led to some weak moments in the middle…but he’s radically transformed his game in the last while. His glove break is changed and is much stronger. His lateral play is smoother. His positioning is much more controlled. New coach has probably helped.

    When people tore into him for his crying…I think that’s just how much passion he has & why he’s been able to make those changes and improve so quickly. He has that fire and athleticism that the best have. Even some of the best goalies of the past years are struggling this year…being able to adapt and improve is so important.

    I’ll say it again, this guy has potential to be an elite starter.

    Generally, in the past, coaches haven’t liked to give their goalie praise because it often breaks them out of their flow, but at a certain point it just can’t be denied.
