Of course the Vancouver market was enamoured with “D-Peety” as an NHL prospect from Day 1 just because of his surname.
Their fawning nickname for him only proves it.
Tanev is probably toast by now, but he’s the type of stability and leadership they need. Quiet, calm, and selfless. He’ll sacrifice it all for the betterment of the team. Maybe even too much. lol
Every time there's a goal against, this guy is on the ice. Don't understand the hype around him. Aside from hitting, D Petey does NOTHING. I'm down to keep him but I can not fathom why Canucks have him as an untouchable.
If they tank this year and next (maybe keep Foote he seems to be good at it) they get 2 top 3 picks in 2 seasons that will help attract some FAs people wanna play with Verhoeff and Du Pont im sure
Landon DuPont is the only D-Man I want the Canucks to strive for next season.
