Now they’ll turn it around. Once hockey channels cover us usually the opposite of what they’re talking about happens

Good to know that the leafs and wings are good for a hockey psychology video once a year.

Been saying it for years now, but Detroit is too old and slow to keep up in the new NHL. A forecheck is almost 95% how fast you can get to the defense before they make a play. And if you can’t get to the dman before they move the puck, you need to hit them to wear them down. Unfortunately, Detroit doesn’t do that either outside of Kasper.

Copy and paste the transcript into a post and sticky it to the sub page. It’s all here. Love this guy’s channel and wish he’d do more Wings related videos

I mean the first stat is all you need to see. Ozone and dzone time. It’s not any deeper than that. The ice is tilted against them ALL THE TIME. Our bottom 6 is a joke and can’t win shifts ever and now Larkin and Raymond are gassed and even they can’t win shifts.
Alex debrincat can only do so much. He’s been our only forward consistently winning puck battles and he’s 5-7. Make that make sense!!

Failed D-Zone exits and clears have fucked this team for years, I’m glad he pointed it out

Think anyone in the org will watch this? 😂

ASP needs A LOT of work in the defensive zone. Yzerman kept him on the roster for too long. He should have been sent down to GR before the Olympic break. Can’t generate offense when your D is unable to move the puck out of the zone. He’s a really smart hockey player, but he needs to be a lot more dynamic, either by skating the puck out, or making better passes.

This is a great video that verbalizes where so many of the issues are coming from. The thing that stuck out to me is their disjointed forecheck and how it screws them when teams move up the ice

Awesome- I really enjoyed watching this breakdown. thanks for posting!

Thank God for some actual analysis of systems and how the Wings play. Maybe we can stop whining about how no one on the roster cares and discuss their crappy habits a little more.

Mo should win the Norris just because he’s +19 on this team. Absolutely wild he’s able to maintain that.
This guy also says Kane isn’t a speedster when he’s like literally one of our fastest players at 37(which is also sad).
