Adams was a bum. The anecdotes I think of are how he tried to force Levi to be an NHL talent by starting him ahead of UPL and how that must have affected the locker room, how he failed to weaponize the cap at all after he chopped off almost everything left over from prior GMs, how he kept either – let alone both – of Bryson and Jokiharju around for even one whole season, let alone what was it, 7 and 5?

  2. I remember a message boards thread in 2005 where they wanted Lindy fired. They were 8-9. After that? They just kept winning, just like this team. We don't have Taylor Pyatt's beautiful eyes, but I'm sure there are some candidates on this team.

  3. If you listen to an out-of-town broadcast of the Sabres, they’re getting any interesting perspective from other people. I remember Chris Mason of the predators his play-by-play Guy asked him what changed and he said they had the talent for a number of years obviously, they’ve been drafting hi guys have developed, but there’s a certain way you have to play in the NHL and to be honest they refuse to do it certainly not consistently
At some point, they made up their minds to do what the coach ask him to do and it has a little fire that will not go out

I thought that was a pretty accurate statement from Chris Mason of the predators broadcast

  4. It's buffalo. Expect a disappointing, probably quick exit from the playoffs. They don't have championship DNA in the city. I've watched it for years from Rochester. Just like after the Bills Lost to Atlanta last season and I predicted a NE Superbowl before Buffalo, I'm predicting a very quick playoff bounce for the sabres this year. Injuries will happen. It's their luck, and the drought hype is too much. Maybe next season. But there's too much pressure and not enough championship DNA in WNY

  5. IG they forgot the Sabres in 05/06 were picked to finish last and were a joke to the rest of the league because of how small they were until they couldn't catch them.

  6. The roster was full of guys that saw Kevyn Adams act like a clown that didn't believe he could push the team into a SC contender. They watched Adams be totally lame one TDL after another, so they saw no urgency from Adams and had no urgency in their own game on the ice. Adams took a losing culture and gave it no hope. The players saw that and stopped trying. Once the rumors came out that Adams was gone, the switch flipped and here we are.
