The Foote experiment can't continue next year. Ray was exactly right toward the end when they were all just standing around watching the puck. I played growing up and you're basically taught as soon as you can skate to not stand around like that. Yeah, we're going to be a team bad for at least the next 3 years but I'd rather our guys learn and develop properly instead having a useless coach just try to secure last place again. With how massive Douglas is too, how could Foote not have just park in front of the net? That's what Bertuzzi, Pyatt, Bernier, Carter, etc, did for Naslund and the twins.

Also, just like the Canucks to let Hughes make the playoffs against his old team, confirming in his mind he made the right decision to leave, let two members of the other team to get their 40th goal and another to get their 20th.

I know this is literally the worst team in the league but it was good to see simmer positives for the Wild with the stars scoring, other than Hughes has to figure out how to convert on those supreme scoring chances. Wild will have to be more aggressive especially on defense in the playoffs so hopefully it doesn't turn into a chaotic scramble
