Quinn is a baby, tbh. Hope someone nails him.
trading jt miller was a terrible idea. in hindsight, trading the american would cost us two star american players on the team when we should've just traded away the swede. Draft McKenna. Stop the obsession with swedes
Quit Hughes as a NHL Captain is all I have to say!! Worst Captain and leadership in NHL history.
Is there a reason you don't use clips? As far as this video, your hostility on Quinn Hughes is trash. You demonstrated zero insight and zero ability to conduct critical & contextual analysis here. I still like your channel but your Hughes commentary sucks.
His disconnect from the criticism, “He doesn’t care anymore,” is telling. That he immediately references his play, not his leadership, is even more telling. Making a young superstar captain—and he is a superstar—is a bad idea. It’s similar to making a superstar, pure talent player, a coach. They just don’t understand the team game. They don’t understand how to work with players who aren’t as talented as themselves. Even worse, he never even tried to build a bond with Petey—not really. So many times when Petey was available, and Hughes had no shot, he would just skate around and ignore opportunities to pass-and-play. Captains need to build trust. He did not.
Hope some of the guys he doesn’t know knocks him out of commission for the playoffs What a DB
Quinn the Quitter
He doesn't know most of the guys he was team Captain of?! Tells you what kind of a captain he was.
Allvin is the biggest problem in the organization!
ROOKIE GM
Absolutely zero class. This guy has no business being the captain of any team let alone a Canadian franchise.
My thoughts? This is why Vancouver is a terrible place to play hockey. This video is just shitting on a guy for just speaking his mind. I can only imagine how much is sucked to deal with the amount of ridicule nucks players get. Imo he was uphappy for perfectly reasonable reasons. Poor management and he’s under a microscope from fans and media. One thing I do agree with is that Hughes is not captain material. He’s just not that kinda guy. I don’t see why that’s a big deal. I don’t get how you can point the finger at Hughes for being the captain and doing a poor job when management made him the captain. Imagine you’re a superstar hockey player and the best player in the history of the franchise. Management tells you that you’re the captain now. What are you gonna do just say no? Sure you might. But I don’t see Hughes as that kinda guy. He probably just thought “oh wow. Ok. I’ll do my best”. He comes off as an awkward guy. Think of some awkward guy you know in real life. Imagine him being told he’s the captain of the team. With no one to teach him he’s going to be a terrible captain. Look at Tampa. Stamkos was a great captain. He didn’t get there in his own. He had Vinny there to show him how to lead while he grew into the player he was meant to be and then into the leader Tampa needed. How many great captains are his age or younger rn? None. What about in the last ten years?
In short. Hughes is just a guy. A awkward guy who is insane at hockey. And nucks fans ran him out of town. And now they’re being a crazy ex gf about it.
Please keep in mind. Idc about Hughes at all. I only support him when he’s wearing red white and blue.
