Bringing up Hagens now would not be fair to him nor the team. Just….no.
The only thing that concerned me tonight is the way we looked through the first period and a half/two periods. Even with all the injuries the way Florida is coached their style of play is suited for the playoffs they play that tight hard checking game and the Bruins couldn’t handle it or get behind Floridas defenseman at all. I give a little leeway because they have been so hot and you can’t win every game but the style of play they put on the Bruins tonight is what we’re gonna see all playoffs. Geekie has gone completely awol which is something else that’s gonna hurt this team in the playoffs as well. Carolina plays the same style so I’m interested to see how we fair the next couple games
Isn't it a coincidence that the Bruins last two losses are against teams who they have 1st round draft picks in the air according to the position they end up against? Toronto 4-2 and now Florida 2-1. They give back to see if they end up better and get the picks now (looks bleak). Florida has a tight system and regardless of personnel, they follow it and made a lot of Bruins players uncomfortable and there was little push back from the B's. I said go 3-2 on the last 5 road games and 2-0 at home and maybe 3rd in the Atlantic is possible. I say that wins against TB (go 2-0), Carolina and Philly will make the end of the season really uplifting.
