We got pleasant news on the Out-of-Town scoreboard last night, with 3/4 games going our way. Only one game of interest tonight, looking for Philadelphia over the Islanders.
I’m surprised there’s so little difference here. I would imagine we actually want Philly to lose since NYI remaining schedule is tougher but the model basically says it doesn’t matter who wins as long as it’s a regulation win? Both have low regulation wins so risk of breaking the tie breaker is low too
I feel maybe philly loss is better for us? We want a buffer between us and the teams chasing so philly losing would give us a bigger games distance from them. If we win most of our remaining games that could ice philly out. Question is do we trust isles are the team in the metro thats going to pull away? If not then we dont want a red hot philly stealing the 2nd wildcard rather than metro spot 3. Not really sure what result helps us.
Do we have tie breaker on philly? Because then we may have a good buffer from them if they lose tonight of 3 points plus a game in hand. We would have 2 games in hand on isles tomorrow and a h2h next weekend either way so they cant pull away too far from us.
