I’m just gonna take that the doomering that we needed to win like 7 of the last 10 to even have a 1% vs the Stars is BS

So what you’re saying is performance the last 10 games seems to have no correlation to playoff success… hmmmmmmmmm… Redditors are going to hate this!

Had a back and fourth conversation with that dude who posted death taxes and the Wild backing into the playoffs. Amd crashing out after we were down 2-1. We have played .500 hockey and are still top 5 in the league, healthy, and have seven games left and already clinched. Don’t think you can really say we “backed our way in” atp.

What happens in the playoffs is just a complete crapshoot. It’s in every single sport. You can have teams that are the clear favorites that go out in round one, you can have the clear favorite win it all, you can have a random team suddenly going on a run. It’s getting there that’s a battle. I’ll even say home ice, no home ice, nothing matters. Statistics out the ass and most of the time someone is defying a number.
Everyone needs to be playing at their absolute best when it matters, some general luck goes your way, and health. We need to come out of these last games as healthy and as close as a team as possible. Then what happens is what happens.

We are winning the Stanley Cup.

Why is they pick 7 years though?

people forget we just added a bunch of new people at the deadline and it takes awhile for everyone to start playing at their fullest capability with each other. plus they’re trying different combinations out for when people get hurt and to counter situations as they arise. i thought gus looked great last night also so i dunno what some people were seeing lol
