That was fun! Jack and Bratt are so dynamic together and kudos to Jack for telling Keefe to put Brown on his line. Hilariously or frustratingly (however you want to look at it) they are back on the money puck wheel of playoff chances lol
So wild that this was the first 5 point game for a devil since Elias in 2006. 20 years, and 2 guys do it in the same game. Fun to watch, Hughes and Bratt are doing great with Brown on the line it’s a great mix of skillsets.
With 7 games to go, if the devils go 5-1-1 they will finish with the exact same point total they had last season that got them 3rd in the division and 7th in the conference. This season that would get them no higher than 12th most likely. Just looking at the schedule though the remaining games are all against eastern playoff teams or teams above the devils hoping to make it. Our next 2 games are against the canadiens, probably going to see caufield hit 50 goals and an outside chance of Suzuki hitting 100 points. Hate to see a young team realize those milestones the devils should be hitting…

How are we still holding onto this TINY thread of hope? I have been in the « acceptance » stage since January, but still the Devils are technically in this race? I CAN’T DEAL WITH THE AMOUNT OF HOPE THERE GIVING ME CAUSE I KNOW IT’S NOT GOING ANYWHERE!
With this group it feels like no pressure, no problem. Definitely with Jesper, we’ll see with Jack. But they generate the shots even under the old system. They just muffed like a thousand shots.
