Eichel's first game was against the Sens, there had to be more anticipation for that.
First caller sounded coked up!…. Here for it!!! 🤣🤣
2:29 agreed that this drought hits differently. I would say the Bills one was crazier because they needed Cinicy to beat Baltimore in that last game and every Bills fan sat on the edge of their chairs to watch that ending. Super excited to see the Sabres finally snap the drought though.
Granato may not have been the answer to the big question in Sabreland, but he was the answer to the question of how to activate a lot of these talented young players. He understood how to communicate with them because of his time working with teenagers on the USMNTDP: keep it simple, keep it fun, score a lot, defense is cool I guess! What he and KA lacked were the hard work and accountability and self-discipline, at least not to the extent that Lindy and now Jarmo are bringing. Imagine how much better they can be next year when Lindy is allowed to fire Matt Ellis and Marty Wilford so he can bring in Jay McKee and Mike Peca.
Which four people are on Drought Rushmore?
