Simplified shot pucks to the net, create some chances it’s almost like they’re afraid to create chances. They cannot rely on other teams to lose to help them.
These media members have to start asking tougher questions. Stop the "What went wrong?" "How do you fix this?" questions.
Start asking them if they even want to be here anymore. Start asking them "what do you have to say to the fans that have been waiting 10 years for playoffs?". These guys should be feeling like they have massive pressure to deliver. It seems like they are content with where they are and they are checked out for this year. Nothing is going to magically changed in the offseason, it needs to come from within the room and its not.

This team cannot continue with Copp, Compher, and Rasmussen playing at center. Regardless of contracts, changes at this position are necessary. If not 2026/27 will be more of the same.

Goalie sucks , lost to a last place team , not good guys
3 horrific defensive plays, all involving guys who the team trusts to be 'defensively responsible'. ie it wasn't Cat or Kane or even Ray, it was Seider (last goal), Edvinsson (first goal), Chiarot (2nd goal), Kasper (last goal).
Just unacceptable. We all understand the offense's current situation. It's based on a couple guys and maybe the power play. And when those guys don't have a good day, or their center gets worked all day long as Andrew did today, suddenly you know you're not having a good scoring day as a team. Your defense is much more in your control of its own performance and it has to show up on that kind of day.
Didn't do it today. Cat and Kane aren't gonna carry this team's sorry carcass every game. Would be nice, but it ain't happening. Some other dudes have to step up at some point or this thing isn't happening. Perron needs to hit that net, not hit the tap in at the end. Emmitt needs to have his first good finish at the net in his NHL career on that early grade A. The 3-5 guys involved in the goals against need to play basic defense for their team.
I wasn't surprised, I was just disappointed.
