The Canucks would kick our ass at this point! This team has zero energy. They were just skating around tonight like Rocky and Adrian on their first date!
We need a high scoring Center/Forward so bad! We don't have any player on our team even close to players like Connor McDavid, Macklin Celebrini, Coal Caulfield, Nathan MacKinnon, Auston Matthews, Nikita Kucherov, Sebastian Aho, Kiril Kaprizov, Mitch Marner, Jack Hughes etc.
Losing a lot of close games. These guys are so good when they set up in the other teams it’s upsetting to see them waste the chances to set up on odd man rushes with some fancy dipsy doodle play that goes for naught and the other team gets it right back. Not as upsetting as it was in the past for me with other teams though. Throwing a can at a plastic tv is far less distressing than throwing a bottle at a cathode ray tube!

Key is playing 60 minutes. control the puck control the game. You’re stand offish defensively and let them back into the game weak passes and no thinking about what your (team) doing. This is not CBJ hockey, this team is great but you need to play to your capabilities. Forwards need to be t back to target practice to many misses.

I feel like each of the younger / edge of playoffs teams this year has gone through high highs and low lows for extended stretches. You don’t see that as much from the true contenders (they’ll have losing streaks or look a little slow for a bit, but not night & day different). Hopefully this is a progression towards being a true force, but it’s frustrating for now.
