@Red Wings de Détroit

[Hana] Patrick Kane, qui a égalisé le match pour Detroit, prend une pénalité de mort cérébrale peu de temps après. Le Wild marquerait sur le PP et gagnerait la partie

  1. quite possibly the stupidest penalty he’s ever taken. like WTF is he even thinking here? what does this do to help? JFC

Real show of leadership from our ‘Veteran’ here.

Better check his draft kings. I’ve never seen such a blatant penalty on yourself at the end of a game. This makes no sense

  4. Mental fortitude and character continuously showing up as the 2 reasons why this team can’t get it done.

Between playing weenie hut hockey for the majority of the game and this game throwing penalty, it’s the perfect example. Throw in the fact that as grown men and professionals, they remember to have confidence and competence when their asses are held to the fire, it really shows that a lot of what’s wrong with this team is between the ears as much as it is talent.

Hopefully everyone riles up their anger about this penalty and then takes out there anger on everyone who touched the ice in the first ~48 minutes of that hockey game.

A terrible and clear moronic decision from Kane is one of many terrible and clear moronic decisions we made all night. We cannot let the team off the hook or lose sight of the bigger picture. We did not play well enough to win that game even if we miracles our way back into it late.

I simply cannot be distracted by how inexcusably terrible we once again were as a team. This penalty is just one part of that.

I’m really trying to make sense of this penalty
What the hell was even the point of doing that?

  7. x_BlueSkyz_x73

Pretty bad when we are all hoping the other teams are going to lose to keep our hopes alive

I’m so done with the vets on this team. Save for Debrincat, majority of these guys need to go. This team is a retirement community

  9. Wing_Nut_93x

Horrible, brain dead, selfish penalty but wtf was that first 2 and a half periods.

  10. JiffTheJester

Yea what the fuck was he thinking here that’s the dumbest fucking shit

  11. That’s honestly a big enough fuck up that I don’t want him back. This is exactly the shit that holds this team back. HoF veteran that you can guarantee won’t be held accountable because everybody in the locker room is afraid to hurt his feelings. Continually sending the message that this shit is ok is exactly why we’re in this position in the first place.

  12. VanillaSticks

He needs to answer for this. Somebody call this shit out.

  13. No amount of prospect talent is going to fix this. We don’t have a true 1C? We don’t have top-end talent or meaningful scoring depth? We don’t have an NHL-quality defense? It doesn’t matter – this breaks everything else. This is a mentally broken team that needs a hard culture reset this offseason.

I’m not saying a restart on the rebuild. We could already have the pieces we need to contend. But you can’t accurately assess anything else about this team until you fix this.

  14. maj0rdisappointment

This looks like the exact moment he figures out it’s time to retire.

  15. Alpine_Exchange_36

    Holy fuck.

People are acting like he’s some grizzled vet which he is but he was never known as a character or team guy back in Chicago..

Don’t forget why his nickname is Taxi

  16. PineapplePhil

This is the most mad I’ve ever been at the red wings, and there is a lot of competition this year

  17. YodaFett13

And no one in that locker room will call him out because they’re all pussies. Especially Larkin

  18. Fun-Veterinarian4853

Most confusing pen I’ve ever seen. Trying to wrap my brain around why this would even happen😭
