Love Wolf, but to fully embrace the rebuild. Trade him this offseason. There's a market. Stash more draft capital and open that new arena with a BANG!!!
I'm not concerned about wolf. The coaching is the thing I'm concerned about
1) he’s young and goalies take time to develop, 2) sophomore slump is a thing. Let’s see what happens next season,3) also possible/likely that other teams have better intel in him, 4) the flames defensively haven’t been great (albeit Cooley has better numbers with the same team)
Should Flames fans be concerned about Dustin Wolf?? Let us know ⬇
Holy cow can you guys just hang it up for the rest of the season. These takes are so bad.
He was never that good to begin with, he's undersized and about to be overpaid too
Not concerned at all.
I bet your going to start advocating for trading him.
I dont see a difference between Cooley or Wolfe… They’ve both been hot and cold. Both stole games for the team
No. Every great goalies have their down times, this shouldn’t determine Wolf’s overall in the team. And don’t listen to the non flames fan who are saying to trade him. They are morons
This year he is starting against better teams and was over worked at the start of the year when Cooley looked awful. It's a tougher assignment and the team is worse defensively as a whole. Weegar was fighting it all year and now Perekh is in and is often unable to win a puck battle. Wolf has looked great most nights with the odd ok performance. Without Wolf and Cooley we would be in Vancouver's spot.
Why is Rhett so angry
Yeeesh making me totally agree with Pinder! There should be zero concern with Wolf.
He's been fine. Team has been objectively far worse in front of him
Thats what BB does shamed our players and push to move them now they got there way and it will be yrs before we see any playoff hopes thanx BB
Please please guys. One segment. Just one. Without Rhett mentioning oilers. Is it impossible?
Vladdy dragging Philly to a playoff stop…..
Rhett is being a bit ridiculous here
Would any high quality tendy produce with this system ?
Cooley is best right now
I think he’ll be fine , but I’ve said all along , I wish the Flames had gotten a veteran goalie to back up and mentor him. Cooley’s a great guy who gives great interviews , and it’s been great watching him have success this year. But Wolf is your #1 , and he needed an experienced goalie around to help mentor him through the rough spots of growing into a consistent top 10 goalie year after year.
I don't know how this contributes, but remember Jim Carey?
I think year 1 was 95% adrenaline. Year 2 for Wolf is now realizing the level of the NHL and working towards dominating that league. Relax for this year IMO.
Pointless conversation
I'm fine with giving him more time… if he doesn't end up working out, who cares, we aren't a playoff team…
Goalies are so unpredictable and the defensive play of the team in front of them is just as crucial. Put too much money into your goaltender and it’s harder to build that solid team in front. With the cap going up and up too many players see it as their way to a bigger payday instead of seeing it as an oppurtunity to bring in better players that they couldn’t afford otherwise. I think we’re starting to see a shift coming and it could become a rude awakening for some teams
