Not if you ask Devils fans, who think 3 cups in 9 seasons is a dynasty.
Forgetting the Blackhawks?
So Dynasty = consecutive championships then.
My dad saved this as well as the other years and bequeathed them to me when he moved to S Carolina. I still have them in a plastic bin somewhere; I last saw them when I moved down south like 4 years ago.
During this time, you couldn’t go more than a few blocks without seeing a bunch of kids playing street hockey. Those were good times.
I get it, but how many Americans were on that team?
…and they’ve won nothing since….
The headline by which I define a dynasty. I can’t even bring myself to count Edmonton- dynasty = 3+ IN A ROW!! Not 4 in 5, not 5 in 7.
There have only been 3 dynasties since the 70s. The Montreal Canadiens, NY Islanders, and the Edmonton Oilers. I understand where they were located, but calling them American or Canadian seems silly considering the mixed nationalities involved.
I watched that game on Channel 9 with Jiggs and Eddie.
19 consecutive playoff series wins may never be broken.
