I couldn’t care less who it is, but it is SO nice not having to play the panthers or leafs again.
Assuming the Wings, Isles and Flyers are cooked, I think the Bruins would be my preferred opponent of this list. Let the Sabres and Habs kill each other in Round 1
I’m fine with any of them, although I’d prefer the Bruins to the Sens because I just don’t want to have to see a Tkachuk on my screen that much

interesting that this seems to predict we’ll win the division (and thus face wc1). I still thought it was mostly a toss up whether we came first or second (or even third), in which case we’d be pretty likely to play Montreal.
Honestly just not Montreal. I really don’t want any part of that team tbh
Ottawa is the scariest matchup to me. They have elite offensive and espeically defensive metrics. The only that has been holding them back is very poor goaltending. If Ullmark decides he want to play and gets hot it will be a very tough matchup. Also Ottawa’s building is one of the places we always seem to have trouble for some reason.
I’m not scared of a matchup vs Boston or Ottawa. The Canadiens or Sabers thought that could be tough. If we somehow drew Detroit that’d be amazing.
Bruins seem to be the favorite as far as R1 matchups go based on these comments, but Kastelic + Zadorov + Jeannot is stressful af to watch. Thank god at least Jeannot knows many of our guys. The gameplan would definitely be to not engage in any fights lmao.
