Im not feeling Novak….id pull him. Idk tho the chem tho, and i know Geno likes him but like….brotha doesnt shoot. He looks for the pass everytime hes in the slot. Noticed its alot in long Island and the Dallas games. He looked lost against Tampa but kinda so did everyone. Idk I dont think Novak works for the team 🤷♂️
Based on style of play, which teams would be favorable matchups for the Penguins in the playoffs? What style and team would give us trouble? I’m a new fan
Just wanted to jump on to congratulate the Penguins team. I thought they would be bottom 10 again. I didn’t like and still don’t love their roster. But kudos to each guy involved with the team on making the playoffs (even Dubas who I’m a critic of).
This team played as a team. Gino was great so has Sid and EK. But it’s not like they carried them in. All the guys did a great job. Kudos to the coaching staff. I’m really happy that Sid gets in the playoffs another year. And dare I say they can possibly get into the second round which would be just amazing.
I would have to say no with the eye test, BUT, every time I count this team out they win.
This is an exciting team. They overachieved this year. I don't think our goaltending is getting us out of the second round
It’s frightening how a segment of the Pens coverage overrates Murashov. The kid is a nice prospect, who oh by the way way, has yet to win a playoff game (let alone series) in the AHL or ECHL. But apparently he’s going to bring his NHL .897 sv % and go out and steal them games against Carolina and Tampa?What??? The 2025-26 Pens best option in goal is Skinner. That is just reality.
We praised Ilja Sorokin, Vesina Trophy nominent, but he burned-out out most important games in season. Stuu and Arty tandems has justified itself at the moment.

I think Silovs insinuated pretty well last night that the goalie rotation isn't helping anything. You cant judge a goalies performance from 2 back to backs when theyve constantly been rotating. I think the inconsistency is what's causing what you call AHL goaltending. The goalies want to play.
Headed to the last game in St Louis. Even though everything will be wrapped hope it’s a good game. It will be awesome to see some of the guys on the ice regardless. Go Pens!!!!!
Hey DK……..that was a weekend! Talk about taking away some of the stress and pressure with those outings. That Penguin team wasn't the same one that showed up for Tampa, and of course Florida ain't Tampa! Besides the horrible first goals in each game, what a full team effort. Sid looks like he's getting back up to speed, and I'm sure liking the Chinakhov on that line, the chemistry is there and damn he's good, all I can say is…..thank you Columbus for not exploiting this guy's talent! Accari and Soderbloom producing is always a great sight, and lizotte is getting ready to return ( who comes out?). Malkin seems out of his funk, and I know I know……….we were hard on Rakell but that was when he was not going, he wasn't bringing much to the game, well he looks 100% healthy, 100% motivated, and when he was needed most has elevated his game to a level we have never seen from him. I'm not sure how you pick an MVP for the team, of course there's Sid, Malkin had a crazy stretch, Mantha does nothing but score massive goals, that show Karlsson put on, and now Rakell……..then there's the whole fourth line, can you had an MVP to a line? Keep the foot on the gas boys!
Let's revisit results against teams that are better than the Pens—Colorado, Carolina 2X, Dallas, Tampa, all waxed the Pens convincingly. Has this season been a surprise and feel good story ? Yes. Let's be realistic, this team has too many holes defensively to be a viable cup contender.
We don't need the best goaltending to go all the way I still say it wasn't murray that got us those cups it was the way our team played in front of him
