Wait is he a Vikings player? Or is his name Viking?
Red_0utlaws
Gonna be hard to split him between AHL and NFL

I’d be so much more excited about signing a 6’6″ behemoth with a name straight out of Norse lore if he wasn’t on the I-35 express to the land where prospects go to die.

Viking Gustafsson…. probably the most Swedish name to ever exist.
Thinks the Wild could sign him to a 2 year pro contract and burn the first year.
TheTree-43
Hypothesis is that he will sign a 2 yr ELC this week and possibly debut/burn. ATO just gets him to Iowa

SKOL VIKINGS- wait which team is this?

Good luck fitting Gustafsson Nyberg on the jersey
Battleb22
Looked at his Elite Prospects page, seems like an okay physical Defensive 3rd pairing/7th D-Man type

A little TOO on the nose

Apparently he’s a good depth piece that some teams were eyeing. So a good pick up.

Size replacement for Boho for best season?

This our Swedish prospect, Viking Gustafsson-Nyberg. Let’s see how he compares to our American prospect, Burger Smith-Johnson.

My first thought is that the Wild had signed somebody who was on the Vikings practice squad.

Oh this kid was made to be a Minnesota Wild with that name
Complex_State_3877
The Wild sure do love themselves some Swedes!

Have the Wild picked up any other college players that will be reporting to Iowa?

Hello! UConn hockey fan here!^(and Rangers fan). Viking is a great defender and you are lucky to have him!
And yes, his name is Viking and he’s Norwegian!

Another Gus, fuck yeah
Spiritual_Battle_769
Idk anything about the guy but this is size of defensemen where i get skeptical bc i think the hand-eye control and the extra triangle space for forwards to dangle or slip thru passes gets to be too much in the modern nhl at this size.
And thats setting aside his skating, which sounds like it needs improvement to get anywhere near NHL level.
Glad to see Wild arent satisified and looking for projects tho

Russo’s short piece on it.

One of the best names since Jet Greaves.
