Smart. He’s the top KHL free agent this season and plays centre. Great size and is young. Would be found money.

If I’m Pinchuk, I’m looking at the Flyers and seeing a team with a very winnable top-9 spot with wingers who are good enough to really help him earn a big 2nd contract. Would be a pretty good gig for him IMO

If there’s one thing, the franchise has been traditionally good at, it’s undrafted free agents. If they like this guy, I trust their judgment.

Just realized he was teammates with Kolosov at Minsk. Dunno if that’s a plus or not.

All for it. He can slot 1C/2C if he proves himself, fits the timeline and we push Dvo and Cates down. We can maybe roll Zegras at C but he might be best on wing. I’d love to try Martone at LW next year for a little bit since he has some minor experience (more than Mich) at LW. I didn’t mind trying Mich at left but it clearly wasn’t working out.
If we get him and can swing some of our winger glut or bets waive for a defensemen we would be in a decent position.

I’ll never boohoo taking a shot on an established player ripping it up in the euro’s

They should be all in on this guy. 23 year old, 6ft 3in, lefty center who is skilled and can shoot.
This is their path to locking up a potential high impact center.
If they refuse to bottom out (no sense at this point) for a center in the draft, and how high the cost is to trade for a center with this profile coupled with how rare it is for a young, impact, skilled center to hit the market as UFA…. this has to be their guy.

could this be a move where we could start to find out some of our trade pieces? Cates, a prospect, and a pick could be a pretty decent package. Is that the start of a package that could get someone like Seattle on the phone for Beniers?

What the hell, sure

Meh. Remember Maxim Shabanov? Who a lot of people thought the Flyers would sign? He was also a PPG player in the KHL.
Ended up signing with the Islanders. 17 pts in 43 games. Very meh.

It’s like a creeping barrage of an embarrassment of riches lately for the Flyers.

A « problem » I’m happy they have.
Intriguing prospect.
