Cela me rend heureux. Qu’on l’aime ou qu’on le déteste, Lane n’a vraiment pas fonctionné et Roy était notre premier canapé d’honneur hors de Lane et Lou. Il méritait mieux mais je comprends le changement.

I liked Roy. Sad to see him go but I get what Darche is going for. If he didn’t like Roy’s coaching style, he was gonna be let go anyway in the offseason, unless we somehow won a cup or got really close. Might as well jump on the guy you do want before anyone else gets a chance to take him, and it might be what they need to make the playoffs. It could backfire horribly of course, and letting Roy go with only 4 games left does feel like an insult, especially to a legend like himself.
I do think his coaching is a big part of why we’re even in the playoff hunt this season and it was always fun to see him get heated up. At least when there’s a bullshit call or bad hit, at least the refs would hear it.
I hope we don’t become cutthroat like Vegas.
The guy did an amazing job. This is one of the least talented rosters in the league. 1 point out of a playoff spot way better than anyone could ever imagine, thank you, Patrick, you deserved better.
What are we thanking him for? Guy is making millions of dollars a year to coach. Gets the most awesome severance package for a couple of years.
He should be thanking me as a season ticket holder for paying his salary the next few years.
Thank you Patrick Roy for trusting and developing Matthew Schaefer in his first NHL season. Not a lot of NHL HCs would have trusted an 18 yo defenseman early in the year the way he did and he set him on a trajectory to stardom.
It wasn’t cool of the organization to fire him with 4 games to go. Its weird & disrespectful.
was only given one full year as coach of the team which included changing of GM, and with a team that was deep in the pits. yet he was able to take us to a point where we are fighting for a playoff spot, and we shit can him.
Roy is a legend of the game. Him be willing to be associated with the organization alone significantly boosts our reputation.
