There are definitely some forgettable names on this list. Cool graphic!
I’m so curious what happens with Soda. Nothing about his performance with us makes sense to me. Maybe the trade lit a fire in him and he’ll regress to the mean, who knows.
This is interesting. Ty for posting
So only three guys on our current team are scoring at a higher average than their performance on other teams? And two of them are Compher and Copp?
Wow.
It’s interesting to look at, but this has no useful value in terms of analysis. Age is a factor, for example. Nobody should expect JVR or Kane to score at the same level with the Wings as they did previously in their careers. There are several additional issues with this kind of raw data.
The results aren’t as bad as I thought it was. Thanks for this!
I could never understand Tarasanko. I was so pumped when we signed him. I really thought he would be a great addition. Was it just our system at the time?
A lot of these guys were around during the recent Dead Wings era, but some are within the last couple years and makes me a little sick
Man would I have a boatload of questions for Soderblom.
Nice details for us less than data driven folks. Thanks for making this.
I felt like we could have done so much more with Soderblom and Berrgren.
They showed promise then we sent them back down. Berrgren’s development was definitely hurt
This would be a better team with Soderblom and Berggren in Appleton and Perron’s place
I knew Tarasenko was half the player with us
Thanks for putting this together, I found myself wondering this recently. Like others have mentioned, many of the players on this list are very underwhelming overall.
I’ve generally felt fine with players performances after they left Detroit and never been overly concerned with players we’ve given up, but I think we’re going to feel pretty bummed about giving up Soderblom in hindsight. I don’t know what coaches, or other fans were seeing, but I felt like that dude was getting to a really good place and poised to breakout if given a fair shot and longer than nothing leash.
