Theoretically, if we’re going to get decimated by injuries again, then this is the best time for it. Hopefully Point is day-to-day and we get Hagel and Cirelli back before the playoffs.

Every time we call up Geekie, I hope that he’ll have a big impact, but he’s just always kinda meh. Not outright bad per se, but just never much of a presence.

Rest everyone they can and be ready for the playoff. That’s all that matters at this point

  3. etherealcaitiff

Could also just be a little rest since we already clinched.

  4. SankarinTango

Rest guys now if they’re hurting, even if it’s minor. You don’t want it getting worse in the final stretch before playoffs.

Holmberg obviously seriously injured but think we’re load managing the rest tbh. Idk how I feel about it. Obviously getting to the postseason healthy is crucial, but we haven’t had much success the last couple years packing it in down the stretch and then trying to turn it on come playoff time. I think this team would really benefit from winning the division and getting an easier first round opponent to try and build some confidence given the way the last few playoffs have gone

This is the point of the season where we made the dance and we just want to keep our guys healthy. Plus we can see which young player is ready to contribute now.

5 games left in the season. Prob best not to have players play a B2B after a game like the one last night

Other than the fact I believe that Holmberg might be injured for multiple games, pretty standard stuff.

Duke gonna play the roll of holmberg perhaps?

I thought I saw something about Dom James being close to returning as well.

Chaffee was not contributing a whole lot, didn’t seem to have much going and didn’t do much with the puck when he had it. Hopefully the kids have some jump in them and make an impact.

Well the plus side is Geekie and Pelletier have been playing together for the whole year and have good chemistry.

I think we are just in the « get through the last few games of the season » mode. I wouldnt expect many wins, guys. But we’ll be as close to full strength as possible for the playoffs!

Pelletier please show something. I’m tired of the top scorer in the ahl being invisible when we call him up

Chaffee was ass so… good to try out some other guys.

With Holmberg injured we had space.

I’m intrigued to see what the forward lines will look like. Obviously not what we want to see with players being injured but it could have the effect of a nice jump start after last nights game.

I’m stuck between two trains of thought.. the first one says “push the pedal, go for 1st in the division/conference” the other says “just do enough to stay afloat and don’t get anymore injuries”.

I do think matchups matter more than players/coaches will obviously let on, but it will be tough regardless.

I love holmberg and think he’s great…. on the bright side James will play in the playoffs I imagine.
I think Bjork can play shut down fine and maybe slot in fine on line 3

    Playoffs will likely be:

    Hagel Cirelli Gonzo
    Guentzel Point Kuch
    Bjork Gourde Girgy
Perry Paul James – this is a nasty 4th line imo
