Malholtra > Verhoeff au 3OA

Les rapports des NHL Draft Pros sur Youtube sur Verhoeff et Malholtra en font pour moi un choix sûr que Malholtra soit BPA au 3OA ce repêchage.

Rapport Malholtra : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8lgl9vTZzg

Rapport Verhoeff : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJvvv1KcPu4&t=435s

Je veux des joueurs avec un solide QI au hockey. Je pense que c’est un moyen infaillible de mesurer si cela est en corrélation avec les points, et Malholtra l’a.

You listened to one person’s opinion and you’re sure as fire? Peak Reddit.

At this point I’m not gonna melt down if any of Reid/Verhoeff/Malhotra are taken if we pick third. I’m leaning towards Reid the more I look, but there’s a compelling enough case for all that I’d trust the scouts

Now if Stenberg or McKenna are on the board, they better be taking one of them.

i just want a north american, internationally, no 1 beats either CAN/US so north american talent is better … plus VAN has enough swedes that don’t win

Chase Reid is the pick if they’re picking 3rd. I’m absolutely certain.

And that’s coming from an amateur fan who knows little about scouting and has never seen more than 5 minutes of highlight reels of any of the top prospects.

I’m still not convinced having a father coaching a son at that level will be the advantage everyone seems to think it is, either he’s gonna get favouritism, or he’s gonna get ridden harder than he should be to avoid it, and there’s so many ways that could cause problems in the locker room, especially for this team which has had a bad locker room for so long it just doesn’t make sense to me to risk it.

Besides I think Bjorck has the higher upside for forwards in this draft (edit: not named McStenberg obv)

If his last name wasn’t Malhotra, would Canucks fan rank him this high?

Trade down to fifth or sixth if we win 3OA.

Try to get a 2nd or 3rd round pick for next year for each spot we drop.

  8. Drafting BPA at 3OA means Hronek is getting traded when his clause becomes modified in 2 years

Have you looked at other people’s draft rankings? Have you done your own research into where players are being ranked. Or have you formed your opinion just based on a ranking that tells you what you want to hear? Most of the rankings I’ve seen have had either Chase Reid in this spot or have had other players in third.

And I think we should take bjorck or Lawrence over either of those players

I like Malhotra but he seems more like a floor guy than a ceiling guy. Like I dont see how he doesnt turn into a legit 40+ point 2 way middle 6 center but I also dont think I see a no.1 center who can score 70+ points and matchup against top lines. Canucks need upside right now and id rather swing at Verhoeff, Reid, or even Bjorck. Ideally we just get McKenna or Stenberg to make this easy.

This is getting ridiculous and is only happening because his dad is our minor league coach. None of the scouting services has Malhotra ranked that high. The Elite Prospects consolidated rankings (which looks at something like 15 different lists) has him at #13. (EP most recently had him at #7 on their own list.) They shouldn’t draft him in the top 3 and they shouldn’t trade down for him (or up, for that matter).

  13. I kinda want to know what’s going to happen with Manny first. A dad coaching his son in the nhl brings alot of unnecessary attention to ice time and favoritism. Could lead to weird player relationships behind the scenes and blah blah blah. Would prefer to avoid the possibility of problems that wouldn’t happen otherwise.

My draft research is based on how much I dislike a players name and I want us to avoid Daxon Rudolph and Jaxon Cover

Need those ruck kids at late 1st and early 2nd… that’s a bet I’d take.
