    Personally I probably would’ve put DeBrincat up for the award given how he singlehandedly put the team on his back for the entire season. He’s the real workhorse

    He’s been in our farm system since the years we had Kronwall and Zetterberg on our team. He has a high work ethic that rewarded him a roster spot.

    That’s the type of character we need to mentor others and make it challenging to move past him on the depth chart.

    He may not win it, but is possibly the most deserving nominee in the history of the award.

    I bet he is so happy he didn’t go through with his decision to retire a couple years ago. Good for him. He deserves it.
