Les Canucks doivent promouvoir Manny Malhotra au poste d’entraîneur-chef avant que quelqu’un ne le fasse.

  1. he's going to be missed in abby at the depriment to Canuck call up quality, and then the question of how well will he be in Vancouver, at a time when the team needs desperately stability.

  2. Foote is under contract for 2 more seasons. Show of hands who really believes Canuck ownership will dump him to promote Malhotra AND continue paying Foote if he’s not bought-out?

Vancouver is in a tough spot of their own doing. Keep Foote and promote Malhotra to Assistant? Keep Foote and risk losing Malhotra to another organisation willing to promote him? Dump Foote and promote Malhotra to bench boss in Vancouver, where 1st-year NHL Head Coaches go to die?

  3. This is a rebuild. The team is expected to lose. As we've seen, the coach, GM and President all take heat because the team is losing, even though fans know that's part of the plan, because you don't get to draft elite players by being mediocre. I don't blame the media, They're just reacting to what clueless fans are saying. If we actually think Manny is a good coach, we won't want to destroy his opportunity at a long, successful coaching career by taking the fall for the next 3-4 years of losing, which are necessary if this team expects to be a contender again.
