Always hurts to see such a warrior slowly lose it, but man i still adore this dude.

  3. -Son_of_Thror-

I know he’s washed but he’s speaking a lot like someone enjoying his last few season with the Habs. Will always respect him for what he did for this club even if he probably shouldn’t be in the lineup rn

  4. OverallVillage7

    He’ll answer. He always does.

Looking back the best thing he could’ve ever done was probably take a season to rehab his 6 injuries.

  5. Age catches up to us all, but nothing will ever take away what Galley has done for this team in the decade plus he’s been with the Canadiens. A legend in my eyes!

  6. Pitiful_Stock_4329

Gally isn’t what he once was, but I will miss him when he retires. Hardest working hab in my lifetime.

  7. fstonecanada

My boi knows how to still contribute even when not on the ice. Class act, hard worker, ultimate lockerr oom guy. If I was building a team, I’d want 15 Gallys

  8. MaroMakesStuff

I’ve worn #11 for over a decade because of gally, he will always be remembered as a great contributor to this team when he retires🫡

  9. Efficient_Falcon_402

If Gally took a knee on knee I’ll bet the Habs bench would clear. He’s a player’s player.

  10. Mysterious-Pound7698

Damn I want them to have a cup so bad before he retires 😭

  11. haddonfieldsecret

Never doubted he’d be a great teammate and guy about it. Will forever love Gally

  12. whaletacochamp

How could he be upset and also how could anyone not like this guy. Get him a damn cup before he really can’t skate anymore lol.

  13. Good lord. What a masterclass in how to be a professional. Absolute class act. If that man does get another crack at the cup it’ll be a damn shame.

  14. ProofConsistent3116

He deserves a cup. If he can’t play anymore by then, I hope they can at least find him a role in the team’s staff

  15. ConsiderationKey1658

Perfect attitude. Very grounded. This whole team is special and Gally is an asset on and off the ice.

  16. Large-Cow7314

His self-awareness and his willingness to be candid and answer tough questions like this just further elevates my appreciation for him as a person. For those of us in our mid 40s, the Gally years represent a real historical period, tied to Price, tied to PK, that I’ll always be fond of, he’s earned our respect and he’ll be remembered a long time after he hangs them up.

  17. That last line reads like he expects to be dealt or will retire

  18. Not to slight what he has done in his career, but when I watch him I always think of him as older than he actually is. 33 isn’t terribly old and plenty of players still strive in the mid-30s. Is it primarily injuries or lack of training causing this slow down?

  19. Dude was never even supposed to make training camp let alone the team let alone an incredibly unlikely and successful career. Truly everything about culture you could ever want personified there’s a reason they are being delicate with this and it’s not because Gally can’t handle it, it’s because he deserves class and respect as he is class and respect.

Plus you already know he’s going to not only play in the playoffs he will score a big goal. Guy is truly a beauty.

  20. This guy has the heart of a warrior. That’s hard to replace come playoffs

  21. Routine-Author-5471

He was a guy who wore his heart on his sleeve for the team and was a very solid niche player in the past but the Habs window is now. We need to do what’s best for the team and that means sitting him out for viable players. Brendan is not a viable player at this stage of his career

  22. low_blocker_side

brings it every night… who’s got more heart than Gally?

  23. Gurthy_Lengthiness

The Captain That Never Was. That is leadership, folks.

  24. It pisses me off how much shit he’s had to eat in this league, I really hate that teams were allowed to do whatever they wanted to him. Legendary warrior.

  25. One year left on his deal, you would think he retires at the end of it. But, maybe not, he is a warrior and may try to sign either here or somewhere else if there is interest.

  26. DFF_Canuck

Gallagher is such a beauty. One of the very few downsides this season has been coming to terms with his decline and that his days here are likely numbered. I hope he feels the love, because he’s literally bled for this team and any Habs fan with a brain has deep respect for him.

  27. We’re grateful for the amount of time you’ve had in our city too, Mr Gallagher. I think everyone here adores you and your contributions to our team.

  28. No-Setting2682

What do you know or believe to be the general feeling of Habs players about the city of Montreal? Everyone I talk to who lives there or has been there loves it….

  29. It’s such a shame watching the league move on without him. He’s been such a dawg for years for the Habs. One of my all time favourites for sure

  30. CitronNo8787

When the whole PK / Patches captain debacle happened, I always said I would have made Gallagher captain instead of either of those two. He’s a natural leader and hardest worker on this team’s for a decade.

  31. He needs to come back as management when he retires. He can’t go out into the sunset like this!!!

  32. Cerraigh82

I adore him. He’s always put the team first and he’s a great teammate. Real class act.
