Finally, Seattle might get the men’s team it deserves.

He’s been bad since day one. This is huge for us!

  3. I bet it was either a “step down and you’ll likely find work elsewhere real quick, or we’re gonna fire you and it might be a little harder” situation.

Had to be done. Now I’m just going to hope all the weird moves were not an ownership problem (they were probably an ownership problem)

  5. Nothing personal against the guy obviously but this was a change that needed to happen. Wipe out the front office, turn into sellers in the offseason and start over. We will suck next year but as long as we are starting to show a promising future the fans will support. With how they’ve been handling the team they’ve been treading water and refusing to pick any direction and be a leader.

The writing was on the wall when he signed the Montour and Stephenson contracts.

RON FRANCIS GET READY TO LEARN DRIVE-THRU CUSTOMER SERVICE

  7. Oh boy I wonder if we’re gonna see the house be cleaned here, Botterill is a Francis guy so I wonder if the org is gonna keep him or just go for the clean sweep here

When your problems persist through 3 coaches and the only changes made are to hand out $90 mill to Montour and Stephenson…yikes.

Terrorist gone plus we are tanking and gonna rig the lottery for McKenna. Who has it better than us man 😭🙏

Man… I can’t believe how bad we fumbled the first half-decade. I know Vegas got lucky being the first expansion team but c’mon. I always gave Francis the benefit of the doubt by thinking they knew they would have had to build through the entry draft which would take a long time for prospects to develop. I’m still crossing my fingers the we drafted well and the next half decade looks like this franchise developing into something interesting.

Regardless of how we feel about this season and Ron he still put together the best damn broadcast team in the NHL. No chance we have John and Edzo if not for Ron Francis

Can’t say I’m that surprised. I’m curious to see if Botterill gets more runway.

You saw the same in Carolina. The man knows how to accumulate talent but not make the trades necessary to move up.

I’ll be happy to see someone else take over.

No one wants to admit it here but he was the true puppetmaster GM. Why else would he leave. Botterill was his PR yesman
