  1. At least he’s not making excuses about it and feels rightfully bad. Time to focus on these last 5. Expect the worst, hope for the best.

Breaks silence? It’s been a day and a half and this is his first media since it happened. I hate sensationalist media.

  4. Old-Huckleberry9613

    Bro doesn’t give af

He’s getting paid 3 mil to basically play drop in hockey.

It’s ok Patrick. Civilization might not even make it to the playoffs

The penalty contributed to the goal that was the nail in the coffin, but can’t sweep the team effort the following 48 minutes after AlJo’s goal under the rug. Teams (mostly fans) that can blame a loss on one call didn’t deserve to win the game in the first place.

  8. Bullshit excuse.

«  »Just going for a change, probably trying to get in front of Quinn a little bit and give a little bit of interference, and the stick got caught up in between his legs. »

He skated OUT OF THE WAY of Quinn, and then turned around and swung his stick. If he wanted to create a little interference, he was literally already in a better position to do that before he stepped out of the way and turned around.

Maybe the team play 60 and not the last 15. Idgaf about him taking a moronic penalty

lol “breaks silence”. Settle down THN. This isn’t the declassification of CIA documents.

  11. Anyone who’s played competitive sports know these things happen in the heat of the moment

It sucks knowing you let down your team and the fans. But it is what it is

  12. dkyguy1995

Well that’s as good an answer as any 🤷 gotta just say « oops I goofed » and move on and make sure it doesn’t happen again

He’s responsible for several wins. On balance despite being asked for more performance than we should be asking for him he’s generally rising to the challenge.

It was, absolutely, a stupid penalty. But he knows it and he’s gonna try to not do it again.

It’s ok…the penalty had nothing to do with losing 5 of the previous 7 games or the effort against NYR. This penalty did not end the season or knock us out of the playoffs, we were already knee deep in doing that ourselves as a team beforehand.

I don’t think an apology was necessary. Players screw up all the time. It happens.

  16. It was a bone-headed penalty, but it’s not suddenly all his fault that the team has sucked since January.

  17. Electrical_Long5850

Oh I’m sure he’ll get a boarding call in ot!

  18. Educational_Carry320

What about the two goals he was in on? Does that not count? If he didn’t get an assist and a goal, they wouldn’t have been in this situation. Anyway, shit happens. One play isn’t making or breaking this shitty season.

Mclellan was solid in that interview. The last bit in particular, starting when he was talking about the energy, through talking about ASP’s development.

  20. PremierBromanov

They’re calling it the longest silence in history
