There was a post about it the other day. We basically have to win all 4 remaining games, and other teams need to lose like 3 out of 4.
We decided to fuck around and put our fate into the hands of other teams. I think this year is over for us now, barring a miracle.

I just can’t believe how the wheels fell off this season. I know we were playing above expectations, you get the Romanov and Palms Injury and continue to play at a high level. Sorokin goes on a hot stretch. And then… you go 3-7 in the last ten getting your teeth kicked in by the division.
To sneak into the WC i think we need to win all four, and the sens have to lose 3. and we need some losses from cbj and the red wings.

We win tonight and Saturday and the Flyers lose tonight and Saturday and the Jackets at least one game. That puts us 3rd in the metro.
Then we control our own destiny. Win the remaining 2 and guaranteed in, lose one or both and we scoreboard watch.
WC2 is far more complex.

Right now we hold the tie breaker over Columbus and Philly. So really all we need is to get one point more than Columbus and 3 more than Philly over the next 4 games and we’re in. And keep the Caps behind us too

While I would hope they make the playoffs I know the chances are slim and none! I’m focusing on Schaefer getting at least one and hopefully two goals to get the record from Leetch! Also, no injuries that could affect next year! I feel positive about next year and the future! 🏒🥅
