I bought a Red Wing hat after the prices dropped as fast as the standings. Now I am Watching Redwing Jersey Prices. I still get compliments on my $20 2012 Tigers World Series Jacket that had amazing future value. The future looks so bright I need Red Wings Sunglasses.
I guess I am like Charlie Brown trying to kick the football knowing Lucy is going to pull it away at the last minute. If the Wings win out Ottawa just has to drop two of four games. It has been an exciting year and I remain a fan.

Will Mazur one of the supposedly great prospects play more than 3-4 shifts and register a shot on goal?
Will any Red Wing drop the gloves and have a good fight against anybody?

I don't often get a chance to see the Wings play as I live on the East Coach. Not being able to watch the Wings used to be tough becauyse I've been a fan since the early 60s. Now watching the Wings is painful. I've been hard on Larkin because he is the captain. He gives 100% but his leadership is not translating top other players as evident in their collapse the past three y7ears. Cat & Mo are the two best players on this team. Unfortunately this season is done and I'm looking forward to the off-season. Ray L
They aren’t officially eliminated until they lose two more games. They can still get in with 3-1, 3-0-1, 4-0 with some help from other teams.
It’s def unlikely, but there is between a 1/15 and 1/20 chance they make it. I’m cheering against it as Blackhawks fan of 40 years (early 80s baby) as the only players I cheer for is Showtime and Cat, but I won’t let reverse jinxes to help them not get 10 straight years no playoffs😅.
PS Kane by most metrics has been the 2-4th best player on Red Wings since Thanksgiving. 20 points his last 16 games. It’s his fault Wings relying on 37.5 year old.

I see No shot inconsistent Raymond getting traded at draft time regardless if we make the playoffs or not. I still can't believe he signed long-term and he’s labeled as a core piece, even if he runs hot/cold. People can drop the Larkin trade talk too, that’s not happening. He’s a legit 1C and 30-goal guy. Captain debate is whatever.
Yzerman isn’t getting fired. If anything, the rumor is he’d move up to President eventually. That said, the drafting (Draper’s group) has been a bit too “safe/two-way” heavy on picks.
Also, they were 1st in the East in February and had their best season in years, so putting the collapse only on the GM doesn’t really track. Coaching deserves a lot of heat for that March fall-off. I guess people forget the Debrincat trade. Yzerman tried getting goalies over like Ned and Husso as they were once promising goalies, but one thing I still can't figure out is why hasn't Cossa been given an opportunity despite some slumps he has been on. Gibson stunk at beginning of season but if it wasn't for him we wouldn't have been in the top of the East prior to March curse.
I’d move on from the current staff. Gallant would make sense. Babcock… yeah, that one’s a gamble given everything. Patrick Roy would be funny, but we need experience coaches. There is also fedorov who coached Russia team and won the Gargarin cup back to back.

DeBrincat is a good player. Hoping he could get his 40. As D Mac (Darren McCarty) had been saying, there has to be a change to this organization to shake things up. Just think, the Wings were head to head with Carolina for quite some time as the best in the East Conference, but ending that great run, again, at the worst time of the season.
Because I'm a lifelong fan. It will be frustrating if we miss the playoffs, but I've also seen them in 25 straight playoff years and 4 cup wins, so this isn't that bad.
I'm glad you guys aren't going crazy over Finnie like you did Kasper and Soderblom last season. He's a role player, he's Darren Helm, Justin Abdelkader, etc. He's up there in hits because that's his game, if he was on a good team, he's be getting 4th line minutes. He's a late round pick so there is no shame in him being what he is. But this is the issue with most of Yzermans draft picks. He's finding a lot of role players, but aside from Seider and Raymond, there is no one close to a star. ASP is not going to be Lidstrom, if he can be comparable to Kronwall (not physicality just points and defense). I'd be happy. But Soderblom, Kasper, Johansson, Mazur, Finnie, Danielson, MBN, etc. They're not stars, and no matter how long they sit in the AHL, they won't suddenly become stars. Yzerman needs to be more willing to trade his prospects for established players. I just don't thikn he is, he holds on to them for too long, then they lose value.
As a long time fan, 50 years, there isn’t anything to root for. This team is unwatchable. Just tired of the decade circus of shit hockey and zero, and I mean zero, toughness! The same players take shots at your better players and nobody has the fing balls to step up. Until this happens, you’ll keep watching the same team. Give Todd the keys to the GM office too, he knows what we need!

We lost a potential top 10 pick, Buchnelikov and a 3rd FOR WHAT?? So you boneheads in our fanbase beating the drums for a trade just to make a trade can feel some type of happy???
