NYI had around 20 minutes against an empty net over their last six wins, almost four minutes tonight, and they didn’t score a single goal. Not one! How is that even possible?!

Long time Leafs fan here. I’m just wondering what must be going through Akhtyamov's head, eating as much rubber as the Islanders made him eat. He played well but, as seems to be often the case with the Leafs, never got too much help from his teammates, let alone his defense.

Rough first NHL game for Akhtyamov. He's got potential but needs to work on his recovery after blocking shots that take him out of net. Overall I think he'll be a great depth goalie for the Woll-Hildeby tandem next year
