It’s one of the aspects of the Habs that is underrated. Yes, they have some elite scoring talent. But when you go down the roster you have players like Gallagher, Anderson, Struble, Xhekaj, Evans, etc that have the size and/or grit for a playoff series.
He had a great game, probably a star if not for the big goal milestones!
I said it all along, worth every penny of his contract. Regular season stats aren’t everything, you don’t win in the postseason without guys like Anderson.
Shame on anyone who has said he has a bad contract. This is a type of player that a championship team has to have.
Loved Andy since he got here! I understand some of the criticism towards him, but when the post season is on the line, he steps up! I’d love to see him stay with the Habs past his current contract (obviously not at all cost).

Yes Josh, we too were hard last night.

Andy is in peak form baby
me when the POWERHORSE does anything.

The HUGE positive to me, from last nights game. Is that the boys have seemingly gotten to the point where they ***can*** turn it on when need be.
They looked like ass the last 3 games, despite winning 2/3. But they were playing lackidaisical against bottom feeder teams, but as soon as a real challenge came up, they showed the fuck up.
We’re a legit threat right now. I was super hesitant at calling us cup contenders this season, but it’s looking like I was wrong. We are still a long shot this seaosn, but we are closer than I expected.
If we can make it out of the 1st round, all bets are off as to how far this team can make it.
Horses don’t stop they keep going 🎶
Anderson is not the same player as 3-4 years ago. He has completely bought his role now. He knows he’s not a top 6 winger. He’s an elite defensive 3rd liner with grit and speed. He can fight, he hits like a truck, he’s a pest with speed and size. He’s also a great pkiller.
3-4 years ago, I wasn’t sold. But the Anderson of today is the kind of player you need to win a Cup.
Having big Andy, Struble and Arber flipped the script last night physicality wise, you could tell no liberties were going to be had. Big bodies like Slaf and Dach also.
Engstrom is also not a small guy – unlike Carrier who really gets punished in the playoffs.
I’d love to see Dobson find some edge to his game, he’s such a big guy but has that teddy bear look lol.
Translation: God I fucking love punching people
Arber gets all the attention for toughness on the team. I think Arber would tell you himself that Anderson is the true heavyweight champ on the team. Lets not forget, Josh won a Calder Cup playing with Brett Gallant. They worked on Josh’s fighting extensively. When he is pissed off there is not 1 player in the league he cant/ wont handle.
Andy SET THE TONE last night! Great game and physical leader. Loved how Tampa lost their cool a couple of times. Now we just gotta capitalize on that PP
4th line Andy is bonkers
Love Josh. Warrior.
josh anderson is my unsung hero of this team. guy is a legitimate top 5 heavyweight and will fight anyone to protect his team

That fight yesterday was beast mode
There’s been a bunch of times where even little Lane Hutson isn’t backing down or is the first to start a roughing scrum.
That’s because of guys like Arber, Jayden, and the old dog leading the way, Andy. It’s infectious. The Leafs would never.
