@Sabres de Buffalo

Oh mon Dieu…

Je sais que nous pouvons souffrir d’un certain SSPT ici, mais dans l’ensemble, que pensons-nous de ce match le plus probable ?

I’m not going to get concerned about matchups until after Monday’s game. But Ottawa is a very good team. Probably better than their record. But it would be a very fun series, so bring it on.

You want to win the cup? You’re going to have to beat some tough teams. Match up isn’t ideal but we’ve got depth and goaltending.

YOU WANT TO BE THE MAN? YOU HAVE TO BEAT THE MAN. WOOOOOOO!

I’d love to see greatest hits for a playoff run where everything goes our way, Ottawa, Carolina…….no Philly so that doesn’t work, don’t think we ever played Tampa in the playoffs so that doesn’t work, I Boston since they’ve knocked out Buffalo in the 80s/90s a lot, then go to the Stanley Cup Finals and just sweep Dallas decisively winning each game by 4 or more so there’s no one that can say “well was Buffalo really better or was Dallas just not playing their best hockey?”

We can play the bruins, senators, lightning, or canadiens. Why are people so worked up over which team it is? They’ll all be a challenge and we’ll have to win a lot more than the 1st round to achieve our goal

  6. buffaloprocess

Who cares. We’ll sweep them and playoff Linus.

Unfortunately in an Ottawa resident. So this is my ideal matchup so I can see some games

Anyone know what streaming service I’ll need for this? Last year I got sling but I didn’t buy the expensive package which, IIRC, didn’t have tnt games.

Turns out in the playoffs you have to play good teams

  10. How do early playoff ticket sales work of the schedule isn’t final? If I buy a TBD game 1 ticket at home, what happens if the other team has home ice? Or is Buffalo guaranteed to have home ice in the first round?

  11. Own_Sherbert2963

Such an insane inferiority complex among some posters here. It’ll be fine.

  12. Tkachuk left the ice not moving so well, kind of a strange play. Did not come back after that.

PTSD is right! I still remember 07.

But we get who we get. I know we have what it takes to fight our way through it.

We have the tools, we have the talent!

This sub has shuddered at facing literally every potential matchup at one point in the last two weeks. They’re a good team with a pretty exploitable weakness, goaltending.

  15. FirefighterTall4527

If I recall the senators have had the worst goaltending in the entire league this season so that good for a potential matchup

Ottawa scares me more than Tampa and Montreal. Less than Boston. But it’s the playoffs and they’re all solid teams….its the playoffs.

  17. RougeAssassin007

Habs losing tonight, one more win to clinch 1st . It’s gonna be Ottawa or Bruins I hope .

  18. Peppi_Giuseppe

Ottawa is probably the best outcome, if we are being real. The other teams are proven, and Boston has had our number.

I think the Sabres have Ottawa in the bag. Every game is going to be rough though, that’s the point of the playoffs lol

Bring on Ottawa! Let’s beat them as we did in 2007 on Pominville’s iconic OT clincher. Then let’s move on to settle the score with Carolina after losing to them in the 2006 Conference finals when our D was decimated with injuries. Let’s Go Buffalo!

Ottawa fans firmly believe they will sweep us. Destroy Buffalo was the phrasing i believe lol

First Sabres game I went to was a close out game in Buffalo vs Ottawa in like 96. Great Game, was pretty close of a game but they sent the Senators packing.

Edit: it was actually 1997 Ottawa Senators at Buffalo Sabres Game 7
