  1. That’s how many folks the new population started with after the flood: eight folks, Noah and his wife, and his sons and their wives.

  5. When he came to Washington.. he told Ted.. “I am Russian machine that will not break”
    He kept his word..
    He made his dad proud..
    he brought dc a cup..
He is the great 8 !!
I support him in whatever decision he makes..
    THANK YOU GREAT 8 !

  6. Очень трогательные истории. Коварные ниндзя опять где-то спрятались и режут лук…

  7. This made me cry the first time I saw this Saturday during ABC's pregame for the Lightning v Bruins game. I cried again when ABC ran it prior to the Pens v Caps. And I'm choked up again.

  8. Probably a sign that this is Ovis last season…I think he already has made his desicion and management knows it.

  9. @bob-ck7xn You commented on another thread that Alex Ovechkin's kindness was nothing more than "base-level for being human." I'd like to see you say that to Cat Luey, or any of these other folks. These are but a miniscule sample of folks whose lives were touched directly by Ovi's kindness.

Yesterday, Ilya Protas scored his first NHL goal. Guess who was the first Cap to congratulate him. That's right. The guy you called a "puck-hog." Guess who thought to retrieve the puck for "Lil Pro." Right again. Like the true leader he is, it was the Caps' captain, who thought to pick up the puck so that Carbs could present the #2 Star of the game with it in the locker room post game.

Ovechkin isn't perfect, but he is a notch or three above most professional athletes in terms of what he gives back to the sport and community that has blessed him so greatly.
