Didn’t Brodeur push for extending Markstrom. I’m tired of his opinion
I don’t have a strong opinion on GM, I know a lot of people like Mehta, maybe he’ll be good I don’t know, but a Langenbrunner/Marty combo makes me really uneasy. Can we leave Marty in a front office position where he can do little things that won’t hurt the team and be there as a face of the greatest Devil that won’t get stained eventually by him pissing fans off with bad decision making?
I want a straight up analytics guy this time around. Just a management team that won’t draft a Chase Stillman because he “reminds me of myself” type of bullshit.
I’ve been wondering if Marty will end up as the President above whoever gets hired. He’s had some level of influence for years, and clearly has ownership’s ear.
Langenbrunner! That’s a name out of left field. I’m intrigued. He was always an in-your-face, no nonsense guy. Has some experience being the AGM in Boston.
Like I said, I’m definitely intrigued.
