[Marek] Dans la foulée de la décision de Michael Hage de retourner au Michigan, il semble que le Ranger de Kitchener Cameron Reid (NSH) et Jack Nesbitt (PHI) des Spitfires de Windsor se joindront à lui.

This is exciting to me, I was just saying I wanted him to play a year in college

Good jump for him. Hope the skating improves, he gets good usage and produces. I think it’s smart the Flyers want their talent developing in the NCAA.

  3. Hard to argue the benefits of doing a year of college hockey after seeing Martone’s transition to the NHL.

this is exactly what i wanted him to do. This is huge. Dude is gonna get to work out and gain leg strength to grow into that frame and put that skating narrative to rest.

Great move for him, he has been killing lately in that playoff run. I don’t think it’s going to be like Martone though and he is on the team this time next year. I think he will do 2 years in the NCAA or 1 and then AHL.

I think he will be the teams future #2 center though but hope he proves me wrong and is here faster.

  6. wonderful news

i said it should be a michigan team but thats crazy if hes going to playing behind hage as possible number 2 center, absolutely the best development path he can actually lean into his size playing against college ages

Agree with everyone. Great move on his part. How many years of college can he play before he has to sign his ELC? Is it only 2 now because he spent a year after getting drafted in the CHL?

  8. I love that he’s going college and especially a powerhouse, but would have maybe preferred going to a smaller program where he can compete for 1C. But I guess he’d likely do 2 years so we can hope he pushes for the position in year two and he gets the best training there is both years, so good choice

  9. the whole trajectory of the rebuild changed when quitter quit on us. feels like we’re way more hands on now with prospects above and beyond just the time these kids have at camps. and maybe we fast tracked everything a year or two but I think seeing how easily a top prospect can turn heel made the front office rethink tanking, i can see them not wanting to put all their cards in one basket if they end up drafting the next bozo who thinks hes eric fuckin lindros again
