Damn, it’s finally that time.
Not surprising, wish he give some earlier notice so he could’ve gotten a nice ovation at the garden, but maybe he don’t want the attention. HOF next stop and thanks for 3 years in NY.

Best American goaltender, and provided a lot of us these 3 years. Most American Wins and a very memorable 1 Stanley cup in 2012, Well see him in the hall in 3 years.

As much as I’d have loved to give him a huge ovation at MSG, I respect this. First class ‘it’s not about me’ hockey player move.
It would behoove the Rangers to lose out, but I would like to see Quick go out with a win. No matter, an awesome Hall of Fame career. It was cool he was able to finish it up with s, his favorite team growing up.
He was so good for us. I’m surprised we got 3 great years of goaltending from him given his age and he’s still playing great just before retiring!
Stick taps for an all-time great. Even if he did rob NYR of a Cup, can’t help but love the guy.
Damn. Quick was so good his first year here (not saying he’s not always good but he was great) thanks for memories besides beating us in the cup.
If you told me 12 years ago I would eventually love Quick, I’d say you were crazy. Was really cool to watch him for the last three years

It seemed like this was coming for a while, but still sucks. Would’ve loved for Quick to go out after, at the very least, a deep postseason run with us.

In all seriousness, I hope he enjoys the retirement. It was great to see him play in goal for NYR when he was, ironically, in Columbus. I am gonna miss making the “Columbus Blue Jacket Great” joke
