Would a draft pick be cool? Yeah of course.
However- I will never be mad at a team whose never say die, stay tough, fight till the end culture is so embedded into them that it’s THIS strong even in their AHL call ups, even when a loss might have been celebrated by the fans or the front office, that they play THAT focused and that hard for the W.
Being Panther Tough is a culture that has won us two cups, and if we lose a potential draft pick as a result then guess what? I don’t give a shit because as nice as it would be to have, it’s not necessary to win another cup with the shape our roster will be in next season.
Honestly I can’t even be mad that they won, Temu Reinhart did pretty well as Samo is white hot to end the season. Tarasov did alright but holy crap his puck handling is bad sometimes.
Other than that this win shouldn’t affect the tank that much tbh. Though I really wished the Leafs won but they blew 2 multiple goal leads… can’t make this up sometimes
