Matthews hasn’t showed up, in weeks. The Maple leafs are wasting his career. #freemTthews. He wanted to come home, to the coyotes.
In terms of game 82 being the Leafs game 7 or not, if I’m understanding it correctly, since the Leafs always screw things up and lose in game 7s, that means they’ll win on Wednesday and end up in 6th because they always screw things up, therefore we don’t want it to be a Leafs game 7? Right?

Might be unpopular but, I don’t think this is the worst way to go for Joe. Like you wanna go out on a cup win for sure but, I don’t think there’s a better way to leave outside of that for closure than at the end of an era. There’s no “they might win one next year” feeling. It’s not a playoff defeat, it’s the end of the final era he got to call and the team has run its course.

Tanking is stupid for a predetermined outcome. I would be VERY surprised if league favorite Panthers didn’t get number one draft pick. There’s an off chance they might try to get someone with Bedard or to play with Ovi or Sid. However since they tried however possible, especially in the first half of the season, with phantom penalties on all opposing teams to give their favorites their best chance, I’d bet on the Panthers getting first.

As a fan of the Leafs Tank Nation i am happy that we won one and the tank is still on. I am happy to let Sens win the last game and maybe overtake the Bruins with the last games. It is a pity we will have to live through the lottery though.

lol. When I was a child I would get my laughs from the Saturday morning funniest. Today without fail Leafs Nation provides the laughs every spring. You could actually guess the weather by their successes today.
Joe Bowen deserves better from this organization, better from the players and especially better from Rogers. Bowen knows the fans love him and I think that's what matter most to him. He IS the Leafs, he bleeds blue & white.
Bowen is a Leafs fan. I know he may not admit it, but he would be glad the Leafs lost this game.
