The most important player the Oilers have right now is Connor Ingram. I feel a lot better about him than I did with either Stuart Skinner or Calvin Pickard. He played superbly against the Avalanche, held the best team in the league at bay and only lost on a play that doesn't even exist in the playoffs, which is the shootout. If the Oilers can get good news on the injury front, I strongly believe the Oilers have a good chance at repeating as Western Conference champions.

Thought when a player stops and starts again on the shootout the play is dead, McKinnon came to a split second stop and stared again to d’hôtel the puck.
Ingram has been solid. But it's all about us blocking pucks and letting him see the ones from the point. Those long seeing eye pucks that bounce off people or find a gap are demoralizing in the playoffs. Every team is gonna get 1 or 2 goals or even 3 based on their skills and talent. Not letting in those non skill ones when you can block it with an hand or arm or leg are difference makers. We got extra defenseman to lay it on the line too
